How do we heal and grow?
Updated: Dec 28, 2020

I've been on this exploratory journey for 20 years now, and what I have found is that it all begins with me. With you. With asking the right questions. With inquiring within and inquiring with others. Won't you join me in asking questions that can lead you, me and this planet back to health and wellness?
Right now my number one questions is: how can we alchemize our pain and suffering into creative possibilities for a healthy future for all beings on this planet?
There is no doubt that we humans are suffering on a massive scale. Mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidality, PTSD are sky rocketing right now, as are physical illness such as cancer, diabetes, auto-immune diseases, and of course Covid-19. Humanity is not well. This planet -our home- is not well. Species are dying, the air we breath and the water we drink are being poisoned. We cannot survive if we continue on in the same way.
Yet there is good news in the midst of this global disaster. There is hope…
We humans have come equipt with incredible brains capable of imagining and creating beyond our wildest dreams. If we have created cell phones and jet planes, it is obvious to me that we can create solutions to the problems we are facing today.
So how do we do it? How do we heal and grow? How do we turn humanity from the brink of extinction?
The first step is to acknowledge where we are at, and to begin asking questions that turn our awareness and creative capacities towards health, towards solutions, towards possibility.
How can we be the change? Start with yourself, and if you don’t know how to do that, start with me. Ask for help from a friend, relative, classmate, co-worker, anyone. Simply asking the question turns your attention towards the solution and that is the most important step.
Focusing on the problems will not solve them, but acknowledging them and asking the questions which orient our minds and creativity towards solutions will.
As Richard Rudd reminds us, “life has a built in mechanism for righting itself.” If we don't change our ways, that mechanism is going to eject us from life on this planet.
We must own that we have the ability to support our own healing and beyond that, support the healing capacities of the ecosystems that we are currently destroying. The time is now.
It's time to start asking questions which invite and invoke our creativity:
What supports me in feeling joy, creativity, inspiration? How can I offer my hands, time, energy, or money to support health and wellness on this planet? How can we grow more food in more places? How can we shift from our current financial structure into something that supports and sustains wellbeing for us and the Earth?
This is going to take all of us, so let’s do this together as a team, as a commUNITY. Change starts here. Change starts now. With you. With me. With all of us. Won't you join me?
